Sustainable Design 

McKim & Creed has provided civil engineering and consulting services for a research and education facility that will help barrier-island communities learn to live sustainably.The facility has been designed to achieve Platinum LEED certification. Sustainability features include natural lighting, skylights and Structural Integrated Panels (SIPs); cisterns to recycle and reuse water; and the efficient use of construction materials.
