McKim & Creed’s Isaac Dowless Named 2025 ASCE NC Section Engineer of the Year

RALEIGH, N.C — McKim & Creed is thrilled to announce that Structural Project Engineer Isaac Dowless has been named the 2025 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) NC Section Engineer of the Year. The ASCE NC Section is dedicated to promoting the civil engineering profession and enhancing the quality of life through advancements in infrastructure and sustainable practices. This award celebrates Isaac’s exceptional contributions to the engineering profession, his leadership in the industry, and his commitment to advancing civil engineering in North Carolina.

Isaac’s dedication and expertise were notably recognized through his significant role in the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. He provided structural engineering support to our clients in Western North Carolina, ensuring resilient and safe rebuilding projects.

Isaac has been with McKim & Creed for two years and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, and Louisiana.

His tireless work and innovative solutions have set a benchmark for engineering excellence and community service, embodying the values of the ASCE NC Section.
