How did you get started in your profession?

The mechanical drafting class I took in high school helped shape my future profession. After designing and building a scale model house, I was hooked. After receiving my A.A.S. degree, I started my profession as a facility draftsman for The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park N.Y. Most people think that is an odd place to start a career if you’re not a chef. The campus had a facilities engineering and maintenance department to maintain the entire campus, plus the benefit of free lunch was great! (Never want to see good food go to waste!)
