Best Practices for Water Loss Protection, Mediation and Asset Management

The publication “Water Finance & Management” published in its February 2021 issue an article titled “Best Practices for Water Loss Protection, Mediation and Asset Management.” The article was written by Barry Hales, regional manager of the Water Asset Management Division of McKim & Creed, and Howard Hodder, GISP, who is an associate vice president and heads GIS services.

In the article, Barry and Howard address the challenge of non-revenue water, explore best practices for locating and mitigating sources of water loss, and explain how GIS can be used to help utilities forecast, schedule and budget for infrastructure improvements.
