FDEP Awards $7.4 Million for Innovative Drinking Water Treatment Systems
The City of Bunnell, Florida was awarded $1.2 million to assist in funding its recently opened ion exchange water treatment plant. The facility features the first-ever municipal application of the Orica MICo (MIEX® Co-removal) ion exchange process, and was designed, permitted and constructed to remove both organics and hardness with cationic and anionic resins in a common reactor vessel. This marks the first process of its type in North America. Read more about the FDEP funding in the February 17, 2016 issue of Florida Water Daily.
