Largo using smoke to improve sewer system | ABC Action News
Residents of Largo, Florida are actually relieved to see smoke coming out of their houses these days. The smoke is actually non-toxic mineral water sent into sewer lines to detect leaks. When smoke comes out of rooftop vents, that’s generally a good sign indicating the lines are clear. The smoke testing, provided by McKim & Creed, will help the city deal with sewer overflows and flooding issues.
