McKim & Creed Hires Michael R. Hartley, PE, to Direct Buildings, Energy and Infrastructure Team
ORLANDO, N.C. – McKim & Creed, one of the largest engineering and survey firms in the U.S., today announced that Michael R. Hartley, PE, has joined the firm as Florida Regional Director for the firm’s Buildings, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group. Mr. Hartley is based in McKim & Creed’s Orlando office.
“Our BEI services continue to expand in Florida and we’re confident Mike will help us continue down that path,” said McKim & Creed Senior Vice President Matt Daves, PE. “His extensive experience aligns well with many of our key Florida accounts.”
Mr. Hartley is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states with over three decades of experience in the study, analysis, design, construction, and commissioning of HVAC systems in both existing and new construction facilities. He is an experienced engineering manager who supports clients by developing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP/FP) projects, negotiating contracts, establishing and adhering to budgets, mentoring and training technical staff, planning, prioritizing, and directing staff activities, developing standards, and managing projects. Throughout his career, Mr. Hartley has worked with many different facility types, including higher education facilities; healthcare facilities; K-12 educational and support facilities; federal, state, and local government administrative and correctional facilities; and a wide variety of private commercial and industrial facilities.

Mr. Hartley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, and has remained based in central Florida for his entire career, serving clients across Florida and beyond.
