MEP/FP Regional Manager Named in Charlotte

McKim & Creed, Inc. is pleased to announce that Sam Nguyen, PE, has been promoted to regional manager of the company’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protecton (MEP/FP) engineering services in Charlotte.

Sam specializes in helping healthcare and educational institutions conserve energy, reduce water consumption and improve overall efficiencies in their facilities. One of his most recent projects with McKim & Creed was managing the humidity control unit replacement project for multiple facilities within the Mission Health system. This project required replacing air handling unit equipment in sensitive environments such as operating rooms. He also oversaw renovations at the Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill that help improve behavioral health services. Prior to joining McKim & Creed, Sam provided MEP/FP engineering services for Charlotte’s first LEED-certified fire station, which earned LEED Gold Certification.

“Sam’s knowledge of the healthcare industry and his ability to design solutions that meet the engineering challenges of those specialized environments are phenomenal. He is very deserving of this promotion to regional manager,” said Matthew Daves, PE, business unit leader with McKim & Creed.

“I’m looking forward to taking a bigger role in McKim & Creed’s MEP/FP services for healthcare and educational facilities, and to working more closely with our clients,” added Sam.

He is a graduate of UNC Charlotte with a degree in mechanical engineering, and joined McKim & Creed as a project engineer in 2016.
