New Manager Brings GDOT Experience to Atlanta Office

McKim & Creed announces that Christopher Amos Adams, RLS, has joined the company’s Atlanta office as a senior geomatics project manager.

Chris Amos has more than 33 years of surveying experience. A registered licensed surveyor in Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina, Mr. Adams is proficient at Georgia boundary and ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, GDOT roadway and utility route surveys, topographic mapping, infrastructure inventory, geodetic control, GPS for control and state plane coordinates, as-builts, volume analysis and hydrography.

“Chris Amos has surveyed in the state of Georgia for more than 30 years, and has led dozens of survey teams to successfully complete numerous transportation projects for GDOT,” said Tim Cawood, PLS, senior vice president with McKim & Creed. “We are pleased to have him join our Atlanta team.”

Chris Amos is a member of the Surveying & Mapping Society of Georgia (SAMSOG) and the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), and serves on the GDOT surveying subcommittee of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

McKim & Creed has been established in the Atlanta area since 2008 and has provided geomatics services for such projects as the Sanford Stadium at the University of Georgia, the Viasat campus in Duluth, a 24-mile proposed natural gas pipeline from Gilmer to Blue Ridge counties, and FEMA floodplain map updating for Clayton County.
