Triangle Business Journal: Raleigh Firm Adds Gulf Coast Presence

A Raleigh-based engineering and surveying firm has expanded its footprint along the Gulf Coast after acquiring a Louisiana company.
McKim & Creed announced this week it has purchased GSA Consulting Engineers Inc., a water systems and wastewater facilities engineering firm. Headquartered in Gonzales, Louisiana, GSA provides services for projects at the local, state and federal levels as well as in the private sector.
The acquisition will allow McKim & Creed to increase its water and wastewater presence, which currently is active in the Florida market in Tampa, Clearwater and Pensacola as well as in Houston, Texas, said McKim & Creed CEO Steve W. Smith.
