The award-winning North Carolina Veterans Park is the first state park dedicated to military veterans from all branches of the armed services. The park features a visitor center, soils wall, community lawn with story garden, and an Airborne & Special Operations Museum. McKim & Creed furnished engineering and surveying services that included full design development for Phase I of the park and the Freedom Trail trailhead, roadway design, a utility plan, a grading/drainage plan, storm water BMP design, a public improvements plan, an erosion control plan, permitting, and bid/construction phase services.
