The city determined that the capacity for monitoring, transmitting and storing data related to the operation of its sanitary sewer pump stations and water distribution system, as well as rainfall monitoring/reporting capabilities, were insufficient. McKim & Creed prepared a report that guided subsequent development of construction documents and cost estimates in implementing needed improvements. Tasks included an evaluative survey of options for enhancing data transmission dependability and an inventory of current water/sanitary sewer pump station data collection, management, and transmission equipment for purposes of recommending operational data handling improvements.
