More than 25 miles of railroad corridor were surveyed and mapped in preparation for the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) North Corridor Light Rail service, which is projected to transport 5,000 commuters daily by 2030. McKim & Creed conducted design surveys for 56 at-grade rail crossings, performed utility, boundary and topographic surveys for seven proposed station sites, and provided SUE Quality Level A and B investigations to assess impacted utilities.
