This new 24,000-SF Ambulatory Surgical Center brings the latest technology to physicians as well as best-in-class safety and convenience to patients. Designed and built with BIM coordination throughout the process, this project included a highly space-efficient and cost-effective layout.
McKim & Creed provided design services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection and low-voltage systems. The design included space for five operating rooms, two procedure rooms, a post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), P/P area and supporting process and administrative areas. A chilled water system was employed to improve energy efficiency and reliability. UV sterilization, humidification and HEPA filtration was used to improve indoor air quality and reduce the risk of infection for airborne pathogens. Additionally, the lighting system within the OR and procedure rooms featured LED technology optimized for improved patient outcomes.
