The site for this three-story, 60,000-SF medical office building and a one-story, 20,000-SF healthplex for Carolinas HealthCare System is located on a 26.4-acre parcel in Waxhaw, NC. McKim & Creed performed preliminary site planning activities and created a stormwater management plan that included a regional water quality pond capable of handling future buildings for the medical site. A flood study was completed, along with the extension of an existing 8-inch sanitary trunk sewer. Additionally, roadway improvements to two separate NCDOT roadways were performed to provide access to the proposed development, and a helipad was designed to service the healthplex.
