McKim & Creed served as the design engineer for this new reclaimed water transmission pipeline project, which was performed through the design-build project delivery method. The new 24-inch diameter pipeline originates from Hillsborough County’s Falkenburg wastewater treatment plant and extends to US 41, where it connects to an existing 24-inch reclaimed water main. McKim & Creed provided engineering design services for the final design of 78,000 feet of 24-inch reclaimed water main with major waterway crossings at the Alafia River and Bullfrog Creek. These crossings were designed as horizontal directional drill installations with 30-inch diameter HDPE pipe material. McKim & Creed performed hydraulic modeling and surveying services for the project, as well as handled permitting for the final design.
