Lead and Copper Rule Program Service Line Material Inventory

A North Carolina town servicing nearly 17,000 homes and businesses through the operation and maintenance of two water treatment plants, one wastewater treatment plant and over 600 miles of water and sewer lines and identified the need to address recent updates to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) that went into effect in December 2021.

The town hired McKim & Creed to assess the status of all service line material within the system and identify tasks to be completed to satisfy the EPA’s compliance requirements.
