Lead and Copper Rule Revisions Program Assistance

Lead and Copper Rule Revisions Program Assistance

The City of Palmetto identified the need to address recent updates to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) that went into effect in December 2021. The City hired McKim & Creed to assess its potable water system which includes nine (9) supply interconnects with Manatee County. The system also includes approximately 76 miles of potable water transmission and distribution system pipe and supplies.

McKim & Creed’s engineers are coordinating with the City to develop the Initial Service Line Inventory.  The Inventory includes all City owned and customer-owned service lines in the City.  Our scope also includes other tasks to be completed for the EPA’s compliance requirements.
