This project involved leak detection and GIS mapping services across approximately 95 miles of the Big Canoe Community’s water distribution network. Crews successfully surveyed 94.37 miles during the 51 days on site. The team was also able to map all the water system assets and collect 1,350 water assets to be included in the GIS mapping portion of the project.
A total of 112 distribution leaks and 82 suspected customer-side leaks were confirmed. The leakage rate of the combined distribution leaks discovered was estimated at 317.4 gallons per minute.
