McKim & Creed evaluated an existing fire alarm system in the Lee County Jail to determine if the fire alarm met code requirements before proceeding with a full fire alarm replacement. Following evaluation, McKim & Creed then provided design documents for bid to replace the system with a new nonproprietary system. The plan also included minimizing the facility’s time without an active fire alarm system by keeping as much of the building protected as possible at any given time during the system swap.
