McKim & Creed provided a confidential client with owner’s engineer and construction management services associated with operational improvements at a water storage and disposal facility in Ohio. The facility has the ability to receive and dispose of up to 15,000 bpd of drilling wastewaters.
McKim & Creed was brought to the site in an owner’s engineer role to review the operations of the existing facility, recommend improvements across all aspects of the facility, and oversee the implementation of the improvements.
Items that were designed and installed as part of the improvements include new piping systems throughout the facility, improving the tank containment area, and rebuilding the bulk storage tanks to improve operations. The facility includes multiple truck unloading
bays, solids separation equipment, 10,000 barrels of water storage volume in two 5,000 barrel above grade bolted steel tanks, and disposal pumps.
