McKim & Creed provided professional engineering services in connection with the design, surveying, easement mapping, permitting, bid and award, trenchless installation, construction administration and observation of the Patriot Park Water Line Extension. This project included the construction of approximately 15,000 LF of 12-inch PVC water line in the vicinity of Empire Boulevard and NC 17 and along Thomas Humphrey Road. The pipe diameter selection and route for the 12-inch water line extension to Patriot Park was based on the preliminary route evaluations and hydraulic modeling work performed by McKim & Creed. The project required wetland delineations and surveys to determine wetland boundaries and identify jurisdictional channels. Horizontal directional drilling (HDD) was utilized to avoid wetland and stream impacts.
