McKim & Creed provided SCADA integration and controls services that included developing a standard PLC and Operator Interface Terminal (OIT) program for all Hillsborough County Fluid Management System (FMS) stations to support monitoring of more than 500 raw water pump stations.
We worked with the county in multiple workshops to identify additional functionality they wanted to include in the new program, as well as ways to improve its functionality. Additionally, McKim & Creed streamlined the data throughput, reduced nuisance alarms, added options for station configurations and eliminated custom code.
The benefit to the client was identifying the various differences between the stations and then developing a single PLC program, single OIT application and single design to address all the stations through configuration. This greatly reduces the maintenance effort.
