Soundside High School

McKim & Creed provided civil engineering leadership for the new Soundside High School campus in the Midway area of south Santa Rosa County — the first new high school built in the county in more than 20 years. The 40-acre campus includes comprehensive classroom, administrative, and support spaces, along with a full athletics package featuring a multi-sport synthetic turf field, asphalt track with field event areas, and dedicated baseball and softball facilities, including pole vault, high jump, and triple jump provisions. Our scope encompassed site feasibility and due diligence, planning, detailed civil design, permitting, and construction-phase services, ensuring the campus was deliverable within the district’s program requirements. McKim & Creed coordinated with Santa Rosa County, the Northwest Florida Water Management District, and other authorities having jurisdiction to secure approvals and maintain schedule. Drawing on deep experience with local school districts and multidisciplinary civil expertise, our team delivered a fully permitted, construction-ready campus designed to serve generations of students and support the continued growth of Santa Rosa County.
