This $3.6-million HVAC upgrade is saving the U.S. Postal Service 1,637 million BTUs of energy each year. This equates to $37,200 in annual savings and an 11.1 percent reduction when compared to the previous two-year average. CO2 emissions have been cut by 338 metro tons annually. In addition, this award-winning project improved indoor air quality, added 40 tons of cooling capability, enhanced operations and maintenance, and reduced environmental impacts. The project was completed by United Engineering Group prior to its acquisition by McKim & Creed.
