UNC Pembroke Electrical Infrastructure Master Plan

McKim & Creed developed an electrical infrastructure master plan that integrated electrical power needs to support new facilities and future site expansions identified in the overall campus master plan.

The existing electrical substation delivery was antiquated and becoming increasingly unreliable, with a limited number 12.47 kV circuits. Electrical load studies and projections were used to prepare a two-phased plan that was implemented over five years for design and construction. Two design and construction projects replaced the outdated electrical infrastructure, increased reliability, and provided expansion capabilities. An updated electrical master plan was prepared in concert with the overall campus master plan.
