McKim & Creed led an engineering design-build team that provided design and construction services for water management projects across multiple basins for oil recovery and disposal. The projects range from water reuse/recycle to deep well injection. Design and construction services included civil, structural, electrical, controls, mechanical, and process, as well as equipment procurement
support, construction management and oversight, and start-up and commissioning of the system.
Thorn Site, Bridgeport, IL – This new injection/disposal facility and tank battery included oil/water separation, storage, containment and pump conveyance to nearby injection and disposal wells. It also includes a vapor collection system with a tank vent and blower system, a condensate knockout pot and a flare.
Lewis Site, Bridgeport, IL – The system was designed to inject up to 53,000 bpd of produced water. The project has been split into two phases: tank battery and injection facility. It was designed, constructed, and operational within budget and six months from design release.
Pocket Site, Griffin, IN – This new facility included a disposal facility with one truck unloading bay and associated pumping and filtration equipment, connection to a client-installed produced water pipeline, suspended solids reduction, storage, and pump conveyance to nearby disposal wells; an injection facility with oil/water separation, storage, containment, and pump conveyance; and a vapor collection system. The system was designed to dispose/inject up to 5,000 bpd of produced water.
