McKim & Creed offers mapping, surveying, engineering and energy services for federal projects throughout the U.S.
We provide data collection, surveying and engineering services the federal government needs to create energy-efficient buildings, safe shorelines and waterways, and functional military training and housing facilities. Our federal work includes mapping large tracts of land for the USDA, surveying beaches and shorelines for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after natural disasters to assist with cleanup and restoration, and developing systems that increase efficiency and reduce energy consumption for the U.S. Postal Service.
McKim & Creed recently completed a federal project that received a Grand Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC). Work on this project involved completing a beach profile and groin survey along four miles of New Jersey beach that were devastated by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012. This project supports the repair and restoration of the largest beachfill project ever, by volume, and helps the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District return the beaches to their pre-storm condition and restore them to their full, original design level of protection.
