After recommending an alternate location, McKim & Creed designed a new water storage and pumping facility to replace the antiquated facility. By performing extensive city-wide hydraulic modeling, McKim & Creed found a suitable new location and determined whether facilities could be consolidated. The project design involved two 1.5-million gallon ground storage tanks and a booster pumping station with a maximum pumping capacity of 12-million gallons per day. The facilities also included a SCADA system, rechloramination facilities, standby power, and flow metering. McKim & Creed also provided construction contract administration and inspection services.
