The site layout of the new 14,490 sq.ft. Walgreens in Apex at the corner of NC Hwy. 55 and Old Jenks Road was designed by McKim & Creed staff to provide a better view of the store from the street and to improve the visual connection with the surrounding parcels. Additionally, the variance obtained for this purpose eliminated the need for costly retaining walls on both sides of the existing buffer.
