McKim & Creed performed SUE Quality Levels A and B services for this NCDOT project. For design purposes, Level B services determined the extent of utility conflicts in the defined limits, detecting and mapping water mains, gas lines, power lines and communication cables. Pole lights and forced sanitary systems owned by utilities or the local municipality were also included. To profile utilities and minimize relocations, Level A vacuum excavation test holes were selected to expose critical water and gas lines, along with all buried fiber optic facilities existing on the site.
